Objective : Design a practical packaging solution for an item of food that represents a specific region/culture.
Solution : Teagyptian is a brand of high-end, loose leaf tea meant to reflect the Egyptian culture. The teas (hibiscus, chamomile, black) represented were chosen due to their high popularity within the region in both present day and ancient times. Each tea was given a hand-illustrated icon meant to mirror ancient hieroglyphics and a color inspired by the ornamentation of Ancient Egyptian jewelry. The build of the package was also meant to reflect the tombs found in their pyramids. Each package includes 1oz of tea, written instructions, and a brief history of how the particular tea was used in Egyptian history.
